I-15 North: Phase 4

About This Project

The I-15/CC 215 Interchange is the northern gateway into the Las Vegas Valley. The site is situated within an alluvial fan which is evidence of the importance of water to the human settlement. Decorative rock groundcover is patterned to mimic the natural flow of water through the alluvial. Abstract sculptures tell the story of the built environment and settlement around water. To establish the existing bridge over I-15 as the gateway, decorative appliqués will be adhered to the pedestrian fence representing urbanization. On either side of the bridge a splash of life is provided by native transplanted material.
